Highlander Kilt |
||||
| This unique Highland garment and the Clan tartans were reinvented
by our Georgian and Victorian ancestors. Sir Walter Scott and King George IV spurred the resurgence of interest in all things Scottish. The skill and craftsmanship of local artisans, who well before their time were using sustainable product, all be it that not much else was available, to develop and craft beautiful garments and stunning accessories in a Scottish Highland flavour. The Victorians romanticised the beauty of the land, the abundance of its wild life with later attributes to health and rejuvenation within the clean clear air of the Highlands its self. Kilts and tartans were all the rage and are today as desirable an acquisition as to our fore fathers. |
